A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot that spent 17 months in 41% new French oak, the 2013 Seven Hills Vineyard comes all from Walla Walla. It has beautiful fruit, as well as elegance, to go with lots of Cabernet notes of cassis, black raspberries, spice and graphite. Medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and textured, it shines as much for its purity and elegance as richness and power. There’s no harm in enjoying bottles today, but it should evolve gracefully for 10-15 years.
