The outstanding 2012 Seven Hills Vineyard (49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot) offers complex notes of spring flowers, sappy herbs and mint to go with a core of black raspberry and currant-style fruit. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and layered, yet with building tannin, it should hit prime time in 2-4 years and have two decades of longevity.
