The 2006 Pinot Bianco Riserva Vorberg is a touch rounder and creamier than the 2007, with hints of smoke and flint that add complexity to the fruit. Here, too, the finish is marvelous for its texture, depth and sheer class. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2018. The most impressive wines I tasted this year from Alto Adige came from Cantina di Terlano.
