The dark ruby, almost black-colored 1999 Meursault Caillerets Cuvee Selectionee exhibits black cherry and blackberry aromas. Super-ripe dark fruits, fresh herbs, minerals, and stones can be found in this plump, medium-bodied wine. Its finish is somewhat firm, yet it is one of the finest red Meursaults I have tasted.
