The most beautiful and well-delineated of the three Ratti Barolos, the 2001 Barolo Marcenasco Conca is a wine of great class and elegance. It reveals a deep, complex nose of spices, menthol and underbrush that is followed by notes of dark red fruit, macerated cherries and toasted oak, with a balsamic note on the lingering finish.
