Tannic is the 1998 Barolo Marcenasco Conca. While it reveals leanness, austerity, and tannin, it also possesses abundant spice in its backward, reserved personality. Ratti’s Conca single-vineyard wine is made only in selected vintages. Aged in small French and large Slavonian oak barrels, the wine is full of aromas of violets and old-fashioned roses.
