The 2011 Chardonnay offers alluring notes of ripe peaches, apple tart and fresh ginger with hints of crushed almonds and clover honey. Light to medium-bodied, it has an ethereal silkiness to the texture and plenty of ripe stones fruit and yeasty flavors, finishing long with a burst of freshness from the lively acid. Approachable now, it should cellar well until 2016. Flametree does not currently have a USA importer but exports to the UK, HK, China, Indonesia, Fiji and Sweden.
