The 2004 Chardonnay Cuvee Alyce, named after Stephen’s 90-year old mother, is dominated by a mineral element. Notes of buttered pineapple, wet stones, flowers, white currants, pears, and white peaches are accompanied by crisp acidity, good richness, and a heady finish. Drink this flamboyant Chardonnay over the next 4-5 years. Kudos to Stephen Hansel for keeping prices so realistic.
