The medium gold-colored 1998 Chardonnay Cuvee Alyce possesses a tight, reserved, but extracted personality. Smoky, it has more new oak and extract. Tight, with zesty acidity and that distinctive leesy, roasted nut character that is extremely Burgundian, this rich wine is impressive.
