The 2008 Libranza is aged in French and American oak for 13 months. It offers a ripe strawberry and dark plum bouquet, the oak nicely integrated with scents of dates and marmalade emerging with aeration. The palate is sweet and a little cloying on the entry. It is soft and rounded in the mouth but needs more tension and backbone on the easy-drinking finish. Drink now-2016.
