Rostaing produced only two cuvees in 1992, a vintage he terms the hardest, most difficult he has ever encountered. The peppery, herbal, and black-raspberry-scented nose of the 1992 Cote Rotie Cote Blonde is followed by a wine with smoky, medium-bodied flavors, some vanillin from oak aging, and a short but pleasing, fruity finish. It should drink well for 7-8 years.
