One of the sexiest, Pomerol-like efforts I taste each year from Spain, the 2000 is no exception. It is fashioned from 100% Tempranillo, spends 20 months in new American and French wood, and is bottled unfiltered. The deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by aromas of spice box, ripe black currant and cherry fruit intermixed with hints of espresso and white chocolate.
