Harvested at 35 hectoliters per hectare, an unqualified success in this abundant vintage, the 2000 Nuits-St.-Georges Vieilles Vignes is produced from over 60 year-old vines and aged in 60% new oak barrels. Medium to dark ruby-colored, it reveals spicy black cherry aromas and an inky, lush, dark fruit-filled personality. This excellent, medium-bodied, well-structured, expressive wine should be drunk over the next 5 years.
