Exhibiting a dark ruby-color and intense aromatics of blackberries, minerals, and metal shavings, this wine is a broad-shouldered, massively chewy, full-bodied, powerful, concentrated, and meaty wine. It is dense, a little rough around the edges, boisterous, and offers intense flavors of cassis, blackberries, and road tar. Cellaring will easily round out this wine's ripe tannins, resulting in a flavorful mouthful of dark fruits. This impressive wine should be at its peak between 2001 and 2006.
