The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Nuits-St.-Georges Vieilles Vignes was vinified entirely with whole clusters. It exhibits a fresh violet, rose, and super-ripe cherry-scented nose. Medium-bodied, sweet and deep, it offers layers of candied blackberries whose flavors last throughout its long, supple finish. This excellent Nuits should be consumed over the next 5-6 years.
