The 2010 Pinot Gris offers a very good intensity of ripe peach and poached pear notes over hints of honeydew melon and mace. Medium to full-bodied, silky and with a touch of residual sugar (7 grams per liter), it has balancing acid and a long finish. Drink this one now through 2013. The Waipara Hills range is produced by Mud House with the focus for this label on Waipara fruit with some Marlborough and Central Otago wines. Generally speaking, this label tends to express a riper, fuller style than the Mud House label.Importer: Maritime Wine Trading, San Francisco, CA
