The 2017 Zinfandel Aldo's Vineyard is medium to deep garnet-purple colored with lifted prunes, baked red and black fruits, earth, tobacco, incense and spices. The palate is full-bodied, seductive and spicy with a long finish.

The medium garnet-purple colored 2016 Zinfandel Aldo's Vineyard gives up pronounced figs, prunes and spice cake with licorice, Indian spices and tilled soil notions plus a wild sage waft. The palate is full, rich and spicy with a plush texture and great length.

The 2015 Zinfandel Aldo's Vineyard is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with a baked berries and raisin cake nose plus hints of damp soil, incense and allspice. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and layered with savory and berry preserves flavors, it has a firm, chewy backbone and refreshing finish.

One of the flagship wines of Robert Biale, their 2014 Zinfandel Aldo’s Vineyard comes from a site in southern Napa Valley planted in 1937. This is another large-scaled Zinfandel, with full-bodied power (15.4%) and oodles of blackcurrant and black cherry fruit in a dark, foreboding, powerful and muscular style. It is impressive, pure, rich and beautifully textured. Drink it over the next 8-9 years.
