As for their Rh?ne Ranger offering, the 2014 Syrah (95.25% Syrah co-fermented with 4.75% Viognier) comes from multiple Syrah clones, including the famous Alban clone from Paso Robles. The wine is aged 16 months in neutral French cooperage prior to being bottled. This big, C?te R?tie-like Syrah, which finished at 14.8% natural alcohol, shows notes of underbrush, black olive tapenade, raspberry, black cherry, some kinky, funky notes of earth and spice, and a medium-bodied, fleshy mouthfeel. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
