The 2007 Gavi is made in a fairly rich, full-bodied style for this wine. The balance here clearly favors an expression of ripeness in the fruit and a lush texture over more subtle aromatic development, clarity and detail. The wine offers excellent length, even if there is some bitterness and astringency on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
