The 2021 Volnay Village is lovely, bursting with aromas of red berries, rose petals and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, ample and seamless, with supple tannins and a pure, perfumed core of fruit, it will offer a broad drinking window.

Derived from four parcels, and including around one-third premier cru fruit, the 2020 Volnay Village exhibits aromas of wild berries, dark chocolate, rich soil tones and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and vibrant, with fine concentration and attractive purity of fruit, this is a real success.

The 2019 Volnay Village has turned out very nicely, mingling aromas of cherries and raspberries with hints of forest floor and toasty new oak. Medium-bodied, lively and charming, with lively acids and melting tannins, it's an elegant, sumptuous Volnay that as usual incorporates declassified premier cru fruit.

Aromas of cherries, raw cocoa and spices introduce the 2018 Volnay Village, a medium to full-bodied, lively wine that's racy and fruit-driven this year. Incorporating a third of declassified premier cru fruit, it shows decided promise.

The 2017 Volnay Village displays a pretty bouquet of cherries, violet and dark chocolate, followed by a medium-bodied, ample and velvety palate that's elegant and charmingly expressive. This will drink well in its youth.
