The 2015 Roquers de Porrera is a blend of 40% each Garnacha and Cari?ena and 10% each Syrah and Merlot, mostly from their vineyards in Mas d'en Ca?ador, fermented in stainless steel, polyester tanks and oak barrels. It matured in 225- and 400-liter French oak barrels for 16 months. It has the ripe Priorat character of black fruit, wet slate and earth with a full-bodied palate and a slightly warm finish. A powerful Priorat. 5,000 bottles were filled in June 2017.

The 2013 Roquers de Porrera is a blend of 40% each Garnacha and Cari?ena complemented by equal parts of Syrah and Merlot fermented in different vessels--stainless steel, polyester and oak barrels. Half of the wine matured in 225-liter French oak barrels (50% new), while the rest was raised in 400-liter barrels for 16 months. There are plenty of Mediterranean herb aromas intermixed with ripe dark cherries and notes of wet slate. The palate has abundant, slightly grainy tannins and a spirity, powerful finish. One for winter stews. There are 5,000 bottles produced.

Quite light colored for such torrid vintage, the 2011 Roquers de Porrera has aromas of tree bark and a mixture of red and black fruit with a spicy twist. It also has the earthy and balsamic character of the zone. The palate is medium to full-bodied with some flavors of cherries in liqueur and very balsamic flavors framed by dusty, slightly rustic tannins. It's mostly Cari?ena, the classic grape from the village of Porrera. 5,000 bottles.

The 2010 Roquers de Porrera is 80% Carinena and Garnacha from the Mas d-en Cacador vineyard in Porrera complemented with Merlot and Syrah. It has a fragrant, perfumed nose mixing notes of flowers with aromas of smoked bacon and earthy hints. The palate is medium-bodied, much lighter than anticipated, with good freshness and clean flavors. The fine-grained tannins are there, but seem to be well-padded by the glycerin and the fruit. The 2009 Roquers de Porrera comes from 7 hectares of 70- to 100-year-old Garnacha and Carinena that were once used as a source for Vall Llach and Cims de Porrera, augmented with Cabernet and Merlot. It has a very rich, decadent bouquet with macerated dark cherries and creme de cassis laced with black tea and white pepper. The full-bodied palate diplays thick, chewy tannins and a firm grip. It has very good density, with ripe toasty dark fruit laced with thyme and white pepper, although the finish will need time to mellow. Drink 2014-2022.
