Tasted from a 10-hectoliter oak tank, the 2020 Saint Joseph boasts herbal, raspberry-scented aromas. It's medium to full-bodied and silky in feel, with slightly ashy-stemmy notes on a crisp finish.

Graillot's 2019 Saint Joseph is a charming, medium-bodied wine, with attractive scents of crushed stone, subtle stemminess, hints of woodsmoke and notes of cranberries and cherries. Fine, silky and long on the finish, it should drink well through 2030.

The stunning 2018 Saint Joseph boasts fabulous floral aromas, alongside notes of cassis and blueberries. It's medium to full-bodied, silky and fine, without any suggestion of over-ripeness or jamminess. It should drink well on release and for at least a decade thereafter.

Showing more than a touch of austerity, the 2017 Saint Joseph needs a couple of years in the cellar. It's herbal and ashy up front, balancing those elements with grilled meat and black olives. Medium to full-bodied, it's firm and tight but also fine-boned and long on the finish.

Marked by aromas of crushed stone and cracked pepper, the 2016 Saint Joseph comes from two parcels: one near Tournon and the other in St-Désirat. The stems are barely noticeable here, meshing beautifully with cherry fruit and helping to refine the silky tannins. Medium to full-bodied, this offers complex notes of tea, olive and espresso on the long finish.
