The 2007 St.-Joseph exhibits more raspberry and strawberry fruit as well as a lush, easy-drinking style that only lacked depth. (Not yet released) The newest wine produced by Alain Graillot and his son is a 4,000-case cuvee called Syrocco in the United States’ market, and Tadem elsewhere in the world. This is a Vin de Pays Syrah coming from Morocco. Graillot’s 2007s reveal the herbaceous, peppery, spicy style of this vintage without the depth one finds in the 2006s and Graillot’s brilliant 2005s.
