The 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Prestige reveals a subtle note of smoky oak as well as a creamy texture and admirable opulence, power, and density. There is undoubtedly a high percentage of Roussanne in the blend. It nearly rivals the appellation's great whites made by Beaucastel and Grand Veneur.
