Diez-Caballero’s 2007 Crianza is 100% Tempranillo that spent 12 months in French and American oak. Cherry red in color, it gives up a nose of cedar, violets, earth notes, and blackberry. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has ample savory fruit, enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years, and good balance. Drink this excellent value through 2017.
