Drunk from a magnum that had a touch of cork, enough fruit was showing through to get a bead on the wine’s quality. It is a big, deep, medium to full-bodied, still lively Pinot that is capable of further evolution. Young, vibrant, sweet, and layered in the mouth, it reveals notes of cinnamon, spice box, and sassafras. This is a pretty offering, but the slight corkiness was distracting.
