The 2013 Chateauneuf du Pape checks in as a blend of 60% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 10% Cinsault that was raised all in one- and two-year-old barrels. The wine offers up classic notes of garrigue, caramelized cherries, black raspberries and licorice. It’s a fruit forward, easy drinking and textured beauty that does well in the vintage.
