In 2008 winemaker Casimiro Maule didn’t think he had the quality to make the top of the line Sfursat 5 Stelle, so all the fruit went into this entry-level Sfursat bottling, enriching the wine to a considerable degree. I was blown away by the quality here. This is magnificent showing. All the 2008 needs is time for the tannins to soften. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026.
