The 2007 Barolo Coste di Rose is the darkest of this trio of 2007 Baroli from Marchesi. Here the fruit tends towards the darker end of the spectrum. Sweet dark cherries, menthol, spices and licorice wrap around the structured, muscular finish. The tannins could use a bit more polish considering the year. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
