I was in error with respect to my severe judgment of this wine from cask. The truth is always in the bottle, and the 1997 Cos Labory is far better from bottle than it was from cask. A medium plum/ruby color is followed by a charming raspberry/cherry, Burgundian-like fruitiness, excellent ripeness, and a superficial attack and finish. This is a tasty, accessible, user-friendly wine to drink over the next 6-7 years.
