The 2018 Aglianico del Taburno shows a dark garnet appearance and thick concentration. The wine is redolent of dried cherry, spice, leather and campfire ash. The nice thing about this wine is that it shows a more traditional approach to the hearty Aglianico grape. Another surprise is the mouthfeel, which is silkier and leaner than expected. Production is 26,000 bottles.
