Bonnefond is more well-known for his Cote Rotie than Condrieu, and I have had little experience with his Condrieu. This vineyard, from the highly renowned Cote Chatillon, produced an intense, full-bodied, rich, highly extracted, dry Condrieu crammed with honeyed apricot and peach-like fruit. There is some viscosity, but the wine is neither heavy nor overbearing. Drink it over the next 1-2 years. This wine was tasted in September, 1995, from bottle, unless otherwise noted. Prices quoted are based on the current exchange rate of five francs per dollar. No known American importer.
