Cascina Adelaide is based in the town of Barolo and is part of an elite group of vintners with access to Cannubi fruit, one of the most prized vineyard sites in the appellation. The 2017 Barolo Cannubi is distinguished by a delicate embroidery of fruit, with a dusting of mineral and ash that lift gently from the bouquet. You'll notice background tones of blue flower and sweet spice. I really love the evolving style and newfound elegance being proposed by this estate. This was a 4,500-bottle release.

There is a nice counterpoint between the strawberry and cherry flavors and balsamic notes of juniper, eucalyptus and rosemary. Firm, yet graceful, with a line of resonant tannins underneath.
