The 2006 Coma d’En Romeu is made up of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 10% Syrah, and 10% Garnacha. Despite having only a small percentage of the traditional Priorato varieties, this purple-colored effort shows off an alluring nose of earth, mineral, spice box, violets, black currant, and blueberry. Supple and ripe on the palate with a bit of underlying structure, this tasty effort will evolve for 1-2 years and offer a drinking window extending from 2011 to 2021.
