The 2005 Coma d’En Romeu is an atypical blend (in the sense that Priorat is all about Garnacha and Carinena) of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Syrah, and 10% Garnacha. Opaque purple in color, it offers a straightforward bouquet of mineral, blueberry, and black currant. Tasty and structured enough for several years of cellaring, this excellent wine can be enjoyed over the next 10-12 years.
