The 2012 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is 80% estate grown and comes from 5- to 13-year-old vines, seeing 16 months in French oak, 40% new. It has a pretty redcurrant and cranberry bouquet with a subtle patisserie tincture emanating from the wood component. The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannin, veering toward red rather than black fruit, a little stringy in the mouth perhaps, with a piquant finish. Fine.
