The 2011 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is a little gem. Stylistically, it is a cross between Oregon and Martinborough Pinot Noir, with a dash of Loire thanks to the soup?on of green bell pepper on the nose. There is plenty of dark berry fruit here, hints of soy and blackberry, not a deep or fruit-driven wine, but full of tension and charm. It feels tensile and pointed on the finish, a brisk but energetic Pinot Noir that is drinking well now, but I am certain will age without too much effort over 5 to 7 years.
