This is an impressive quartet of wines. While Sokol Blosser has made good wines from their founding, the quality of their recent vintages has been noticeably higher. Both Chardonnays merit interest. I enjoyed Sokol Blosser's 1990 Pinot Noir. It offers a medium ruby color, and a big, berry and cherry-scented nose intertwined with aromas of oak, earth, and herbs. Medium to full-bodied, with fine richness, a supple texture, and a long finish, this delicious Pinot Noir should be consumed over the next 4-5 years.
