When I visited the estate at the end of the first week of November 2000, the 1999 Meursault Perrieres was still fermenting in barrel (4 grams of residual sugar remained). Produced from 20-year old vines, it exhibits sweet white fruit aromas and a medium-bodied, well-focused character. Pears, apples, and minerals are intermingled in this wine's flavor profile. Projected maturity: now-2007.
