Due to Flurbereinigung from younger vines planted on grey slate in 1988 and 1989, the 2014 Riesling GG Marienburg shows a very clear, pure and elegant nose with stewed apple and lemon aromas long with some dusty stone aromas. Round and elegant on the palate, this is a pure and full-bodied wine with moderate 12.5% alcohol and a remarkable finesse. Picked in early October, this is a dry Riesling classic: straight and frisky with clear and stimulating fruit.
