The 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is as good a white as I can recall from this estate, currently run by fifth-generation vigneron Nicolas Boiron. It's a blend of 45% Clairette, 35% Grenache Blanc and 20% Bourboulenc, with 20% fermented and aged in demi-muids while the rest stayed in stainless steel. Hints of honey and tangerine flavors are ripe and offer ample weight, but they're balanced by fresh, vibrant notes of lime, finishing zesty and long. It should drink well for at least a few years.
