Bosquet des Papes, run by the Boiron family, with its cellars located just behind the village, on the hillside below the ruins of the old papal palace, has consistently made some of the best wines of the appellation. However, their 1991 white Chateauneuf du Pape is a disappointing wine with a sterile filtered, non-existent bouquet, austere, washed-out flavors, and a thin, barely acceptable finish.
