Packaged in an unconventional light green, Bordeaux-styled bottle, the 1998 Pinot Noir is muted aromatically, but in the mouth textbook flavors of currants, cherries, and cola are present. The texture is supple, the wine builds incrementally, as do all of these dry reds, and follows through with a long, concentrated, noble, elegant finish. It should drink well for 5-7 years.
