A good buy is the deliciously fat, fruity, dark ruby-colored 1999 Chianti Classico. Revealing a vibrant nose of black cherries and subtle earth, as well as low acidity (for a Tuscan wine), this fleshy, ripe Chianti should drink well for 3-4 years.
