This small 2,000 case winery has a 404-year winemaking history. This offering is bottled unfiltered, and represents a classic, pure expressions of Tuscany. It is hard to find a better 1998 Chianti Classico than Paneretta's. It possesses a deep ruby color in addition to smoky, herb-infused, meaty aromas with abundant berry fruit, and excellent flavor concentration. A sense of finesse, elegance, and intensity, with medium body, sweet tannin, and fine acidity further characterize this wine. It should drink well for 4-5 years. Given the fact there is no oak influence, it should be remarkably flexible with an assortment of cuisines.
