The 2012 Serras del Priorat is a great entry-level red produced with a blend of Mediterranean and French grapes aged for a short time in barrel, which feels a bit wild like a very young Northern Rhone with aromas of flowers, smoked meat and licorice, pungent flavors and sharp acidity, with round tannins and very good length. A very good young wine at an attractive price. Drink now-2017. Clos Figueras is the Priorat winery belonging to Christopher Cannan, the well-known wine importer who created Europvin.
