Roulot's 1989 Meursault-Les Charmes was similar in style to Tessons, with more noticeable oak and honeyed, lemony/apple, tropical fruit aromas and flavors. Drink this big, delicious, flamboyant Meursault over the next 5 years. This is another excellent Meursault producer who makes some of the best villages Meursaults from vineyards such as Les Tessons and Meix-Chavaux. They are not the longest-lived wines, and I have had some disappointments over the years when I have held a Roulot Meursault for longer than 5-6 years, but for drinking early on, they are delicious.
