The 2000 Barbaresco Sori Burdin is better than the regular bottling, but not representative of what this cru can give. Spicy on the nose with ample vanilla and cloves, long and intense in flavor, it is quite tightly wound, backward, and somewhat unyielding in texture and rough in its tannins.
