A sleeper selection from this Neive producer, Fontanabianca's dark garnet-colored 1998 reveals classic Nebbiolo aromas of cherry cough syrup mixed with licorice, asphalt, and dried Provencal herbs. Medium to full-bodied, dense, supple-textured, and loaded with fruit as well as glycerin, it will drink well for 7-8 years. No known American importer.
