The first wine of the vintage to be bottled (in February, 2005), the 2003 Morey-St.-Denis La Riotte explodes from the glass with candied cherries. Broad and sensual, it expands on the palate to display plush layers of red cherries and raspberries. Medium to full-bodied, its impressive personality is velvety-textured, extremely pure, and displays a long finish studded with ripe tannin. Projected maturity: 2007-2014.
